EWB Seeks Professional Mentor, Greater Austin chapter of Engineers Without Borders-USA

Greater Austin chapter of Engineers Without Borders-USA

Is anyone is interested in traveling as a professional mentor with our computer project to Mexico this January? The group will be installing solar-powered, internet-enabled computers in a school in northern Mexico as well as training a local committee on computer usage and maintenance. Exact dates for the trip have not been set yet, but it will probably be 1 to 2 weeks in early to mid January. Anyone interested in learning more about the project, travel logistics, or what their role would be as a professional mentor can contact either of the project leads:

Jeseth Delgado Vela: jesethdv@gmail.com

On a side note: This summer the UT student chapter merged with the central Texas professional chapter; we are now called the greater Austin chapter of Engineers Without Borders-USA.

Thanks,
Kathryn Alexander

The new federal attitude is already putting pressure on some major Texas industries and on the oft-criticized Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, which is run by Republican Gov. Rick Per… Continue
